Heading to Disney is such an exciting time but can also be overwhelming with the amount you want to do! Here’s some top tips that will hopefully allow you to make the most of your day.

Plan ahead

It is most likely when just going for 1 day at Disney that you will not be able to do absolutely everything you want to. As unfortunate as this is, if you plan ahead for your “must do things” this will make you organised for the day and hopefully you’ll be able to get them done.

Of course, there is only so much planning you can do, which is why we suggest apps such as Official Disneyland Paris and My Disney Experience, which can help you on the day with waits for ride times.

Fast Track Tickets

Fast track tickets essentially allow you fast track access onto a ride within a time period.

Having already picked out a list of rides you definitely want to go on, have a look and see if they offer fast track tickets! Big rides such as Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and many more offer them, you can find a list here. It’s important to remember you can only get another ticket once the previous one has been used or 2 hours after the previous one.

Have a look at the schedule on the day at what time the parades are on, we recommend about 20 mins before the parade is about to start go and stand by a barrier. Almost all of the park will want to see the parade, so if you want a front row seat you’ll have to get there a little early!

Dining within the park is not only pricey but the queues can be ridiculously long (this means wasting ride time)! If you can, try and pack a lunch or take plenty of snacks you can eat whilst you are there.

Things to consider:

Plan your travel – Public transport routes are very accessible and easy to get to Disney so if you are taking public transport we recommend planning your route as you want to get to Disney as early as possible.

Clothing- Wear the most comfortable shoes you own! You’ll be on your feet all day and having painful shoes/feet is not something you want to experience.

Take a suitable bag – We suggest carrying a rucksack as it is a lot easier to take around the park and manage whilst you are queuing for rides, you will also need to fit plenty of essentials (water, sun cream, snacks etc.) to so make sure its spacious.
